Scaring You, Scaring Me

When your ego's soaring, oh, so very high,
You're arrogance and haughtiness
Could climb a mountain-side.
When your attitude is stiffling up the air
You pout and moan for record times
And expect the world to care.

You're angry with each breath you take,
You want the earth to sing your praise,
You want to master everyday,
You're scaring me away.

And if you're scaring you the way you're scaring me,
We should both be scared of what that means,
You're really scaring me.

When you're so proud that you're proud of your own pride
That's a signal that there's something wrong,
Now it comes to do or die.
When you're noticing your life in disrepair
You're always dwelling on the missing parts,
Not grateful for what's there.
