For a long time I felt lost
As if I were in a dense forest
I arrived at a time when I was exhausted
With no one to trust

You came to me and saved me
Of all my fears and insecurities
You came to me and saved me

And you said: Don’t give up!
Keep fighting everything!
And you said: Please, wake up!
Don’t let them cut off your wings

I stood a long time standing
But, I didn’t resist and I fell

The worst time of my life
Everything I longed for did not work
I didn’t know if I could keep myself alive
Everything I craved was wrong

I didn’t believe in humans anymore
I thought I was not going to take it, for sure
But, I came out of this, to tell this story
I will continue to evolve, to be finally free

I'll be the best version of me
Kindness is what I will strive to see
Love has finally healed me
I am seeing the future with joy, absolutely

So I will never give up
I have a great battle, but I'm not alone in it

Depression is a serious thing
I thought I could not handle it
Loneliness and despair were accusing
I thought I could not handle it

I discovered that I was fighting an enemy
‘Cause I was weak he was attacking me
I had to remember that I was fighting
I overcame those difficulties I was holding

Each day I'm more grateful
Every minute I'm struggling
I'll keep fighting and evolving
I will not give up
