Once Upon A Time

Once upon a time ...
I never thought about anything.
Once upon a time ...
I was more simple but also cheerul.
I can remember when I wanted to conquer the world
and my dreams kept me stll alive.
Once upon a time ...

Untouched self lost in the past.
And sometimes when I look into the mirror.
There are tears, running over my cheek
with the thought of what has become of me.

Once upon a time ...
I was so fortunate, that I never thought about becoming sad.
Once upon a time ...

Every day was full of expectations.
But that is a long time ago.
Now it sounds like a fairytale to me.

Now I hate and curse my life.
Nothing's like the little boy in my heart told me.
Time takes away the coloured pictures, that I got for ages
as a lovely packed present.

Once upon a time ...
I never thought about my death.
Once upon a time ...
I trusted my feelings in any case.
