Benny's Going Home - Michael Marra E|E|-------------|E|-------------| E|--------|If you enjoyed this, please add it to your favourites and/or give a rating to show appreciation for the work that went into providing it for youPlaying Notes E|-------------|I watched a live performance of this where the guitarist (might have been Chris Marra - my memory is hazy now) played a nice ascending diminished riff in the chorus at the end of the first line - I have included the chord shapes for this at the end of the song and you can choose to include this to spice things up. The Dm7 chord is slid up from a 5th fret barre to a 10th fret barre (at the end of the chorus) on the second bar. I would suggest playing this by pulling off the second and third fingers and sliding the barre finger up to the tenth fret then hammering on for the minor seventh shape.Suggested Chords E|-------------|--- Fmaj7 Bbmaj7 Gm7 C7 F#dim E|---8-----10-----10---8----8----| B|---10----10-----11---8----7----| G|---9-----10-----10---9----8----| D|---10----12-----12---8----7----| A|---8-----13-----10---10---9----| E|---x-----x------x----8---------| Gm7 C7 Fmaj7 E| e|--3---3----0------2-----5----6- B| V B|--3---5----1------1---- G| E G|--3---3----2------2---- D| R D|--3---5----3------1---- A| S A|--5---3----3------X---- E| E E|--3---X----1------X---- D#dimAm7 Bb A7 Dm7 Dm7 E|--5---5-/-10-| C B|-5----6---5---6-/-10-| H G|-5----7---6---5-/-10-| O D|-5----8---5---7-/-10-| R A|-7----8---7---5-/-12-| U E|-5----6---5---X-/-10-| S[Intro]Fmaj7 Bbmaj7 Fmaj7 Bbmaj7 [Verse]Fmaj7 Through the heat haze to theBbmaj7 rolling hills, goes a weary little smiling manFmaj7 Looking at the world through aBbmaj7 goldfish bowl, with a suitcase in his handGm7 And he's been, selling diamonds toC7 Fmaj7 the destitute, he's been savingF#dim all his money all aloneContinúa después del anuncioGm7 C7 Lying in winter in his birthdayFmaj7 suit, and he be-lieves that it'sF#dim time to go home [Chorus]Gm7 Benny's going home (returna casa miC7 Fmaj7 a-migo) Benny's going homeD#dim (returna casa mi a-migo)Gm7 Am7 Bb Goodbye Benny take a seat andA7 Dm7 Gm7 C7 rest your wea-ry bones [Verse]Fmaj7 Now he can sit down easy with a glass of wine, no need to worryBbmaj7 about the time of dayFmaj7 Driven ladies will come floatingBbmaj7 by and he'll pushing up his glasses before they float awayGm7 C7 White buildings in the afternoon,Fmaj7 no need to hide him from the eyesF#dim of the crowdGm7 C7 Evening bells will be ringingFmaj7 soon, and I be-lieve they're gonnaF#dim ring them loud [Chorus]Gm7 Benny's going home (returna casa miC7 Fmaj7 a-migo) Benny's going homeD#dim (returna casa mi a-migo)Gm7 Am7 Bb Goodbye Benny take a seat andA7 Dm7 Gm7 C rest your wea-ry bones [Intstrumental]Fmaj7 Bbmaj7 Fmaj7Bbmaj7 Gm7 C7 Fmaj7F#dim Gm7 C7 Fmaj7F#dim Gm7 C7 [Verse]Fmaj7 People get thinking 'bout timesBbmaj7 gone by they get wondering about way back whenFmaj7 They let their lives roll downBbmaj7 easy street and the blessing in disguise at the endGm7 C7 No need to worry about the rainFmaj7 clouds coming, no need to worryF#dim 'bout the coldGm7 C No need to worry 'bout the customFmaj7 now, no need to worry 'boutF#dim growing old [Otro]Gm7 Benny's going home (returna casa miC7 Fmaj7 a-migo) Benny's going homeD#dim (returna casa mi a-migo)Gm7 Am7 Bb Goodbye Benny take a seat andA7 Dm7 Gm7 C7 rest your wea-ry bonesGm7 Benny's going home (returna casa miC7 Fmaj7 a-migo) Benny's going homeD#dim (returna casa mi a-migo)Gm7 Am7 Bb Goodbye Benny take a seat andA7 Dm7 Gm7 C7 rest your wea-ry bonesGm7 C7 (returna casa mi a-migo)Fmaj7 F#dim (returna casa mi a-migo)Gm7 Am7 Bb A7 Dm7 Gm7 C7Gm7 C7 (returna casa mi a-migo)Fmaj7 (returna casa mi a-migo)F#dim Gm7 Am7 Bb A7 (Repeat last line chordDm7 Gm7 C7 pattern x2 and fade to end)E|E|-------------|E|-------------| E|--------|E|E|-------------|E|----- E|--------|--------|E|E|------------ E|-|E|-------------|--------|------- E|To add a flourish to the D#dim in the chorus at the end of the first line you can play an ascending riff as follows:D#dim F#dim Adim Cdim E|--2-----5-----8-----11---| B|--1-----4-----7-----10---| H R G|--2-----5-----8-----11---| O I D|--1-----4-----7-----10---| R F A|--X-----X-----X-----X----| U F E|--X-----X-----X-----X----| S
