"Fraoich" is Gaelic for heather and is a female name which can be pronounced a few ways usually depending on region but "Fray-och" or "Froo-ch" are used. "Tiocfaidh ar la" means "our day will come" and was associated with many republican prisoners during "The Troubles"...it is usually pronounced "Chuckah are lah" though again, regional variations exist. The phrase which procedes it "No Surrender" was associated with unionists during the same times.E|-------------------------------| E|E|-------------------------------| E|E|-------------------------------| E|-----------------Continues after the ad[Intro]D [Verse]D Take a cab downtown and meet a manG D called Seamus, shake him by theA hand tell him all is wellD G Rendezvous with Billy in the barD you'll be shown to a room in theA D Bm D G D A York Ho-telD These boys never heard ofG D tentative gambits they're more orA less nuttin' so you must take careD They'll all have pieces andG D they'll all be frowning a-larmA D clock ticking on a beer mat thereBm Half hearted Henno from the Crumlin Road sweet little Fraoich from the South ArmaghD And the one killed a bishop cryingG D "No Sur-render" the other hits aA D knight and it's "Tiocfaidh ar la" [Instrumental]Bm D G D A D G DA D G D A DBm Heavies from the falls and the Shankill Road one step forward and one to the sideD There's a big man coming all theG D way from Derry a-nother who'll beA D training it from Mala-hideBm You can rely on Seamus, he'll make sure all is wellD But your constitution must beG D strong, for the chess club meetingA D at the York Ho-tel
