I was walking down the street one pretty day
Passed by a construction site where I heard the foreman say
"Move that dirt, blast that rock, pile high those bricks-
we got a lotta work to do but let's have fun doing it."
And they went:

When I turned the corner some kids were gathered round
A man drumming on two buckets, seated on the ground.
Some kids stomped their feet, some clapped to the beat-
Dancing in the summer sun to music that was sweet
And they went:
