Cairn to God

I recall my path. Clearly I see
God thrown down in that great arena
Fighting to follow with rigor
I allowed him to seep to my core
Copious trials produced an end
Not without the pains of birth

Dogged from the vast elapsing
I wavered in my due cessation
I won the knowledge, fully imbued
That God is counterfeit and false
My knowing is empirical, and tested
Memorialized by a towering cairn

Nostalgia for the absolute, ever potent fume
Is only a spandrel of human unfolding
Evolution's consequence, company to chaos
To ramify, inspiring awe
Supernatural anxiety shan't evoke belief
Acutest sense of agency, transposed by fools
Reseal the tomb
