Go I'll Go

Just before I leave to go
I am not sure what to do
My things are everywhere
But I can't pick up the room

I'll go outside and write my spirituals
About my last race
I'll sit and watch my feelings melt themselves
At their own pace

Go I'll go again
Go all by myself
Won't tell no one else
It helps

To open up my seams
Let it all come out
And all by myself
I'll melt

Been on this book for weeks
But I can't make it through a page
Built a nest in every room
But there's not one place I'll stay

I'll go outside and write my spirituals
On my mom's deck
I'll take a pen and mark a grade upon
My last test

Go I'll go again
