Burden of Memories
The ashes of the memories I burnt
Still lies on my shoulders
Forming a shell, a shield for my soul
But a weight on my mind
Ripping grief, twisting, squeezing my heart
Crushing hope into thousands pieces of pain

They like to shoot me from their towers high above
Bring me back to life, and continue to play
They like to own my eyes like precious jewels
Tear them apart, and throw them away
They like to see me nailed to the ground
To laugh at the paralisis, as I continue to pray

My tears have known my cheeks too well now
The boulder's attached within me
Drive my body deep into the ground
My burden of memories

The scars given by sharp events
Still bleed transparent
The bitter sound of empty words
Still remains to my ears

Always screaming me the same serenade
Praying me to play the same old game
This will only add pressure to my frame
Until my bones collapse
Until I fail
