The Dream

I fell aslep about 12:30 last night
with the remote held in my hand
I drifted off and I could see the light
I was dreaming of the Promised Land

Oh I had a dream last night
but it's all a little foggy in my head
It was something about brotherhood
and love of all mankind
I spoke with an angel
but I can't remember what she said

You know as peple we are powerless
yet we live our lives in any old way

we're all God's people,
and I don't guess it matters anyway

and as the ambulance pulled away
I heard a neighbor way,
"So young and so full of life."
