Change Of Heart

Mama had a change of heart. Never had a change of plans.
Told us kids take one day as you can.
Never had a decent start; always had a broken heart.
Then one day it nearly all changed when in came daddy drunk.
And she said:
"I know where you been! And I don't need you. I don't need you!"
And then my mama almost lost her mind...
When he said:
"Baby! Baby, I'm in love with only you.
And no one would ever believe me if I told them that I'd be leaving you!"
