Steve sits at the bar
Not too far from the first friend hes seen
Its bin a long time
Have you bin around
You look troubled
Steve cries and then he replies
Can i help you
Have i ever helped you in your life
Steve turns again
To his friend
And he says
Sometimes i feel like runnin away
From the things
That ive bin meaning to say
From this world
And this time (town)
And this feeling
Steve starts to think
Buys another drink
Seems hes bin here before
Takes his last sip
Leaves a nice tip
Then he heads for the door
Steps outside
Hails a cab with two men
Lifes a drag
