Where do I find the strength
To keep to the path of happiness
Where every step I take is thought through
Becomes an every greater mess

So easy to lose sight
Surviving amongst the modern frustration
Nothing human can ever be in vogue
No let up in the race for creation

Even a child so intellectually immature
Intuitively sees the difference between pain and cure

I know I'm gonna' have to choose:
Finding a vice in this perverse world
Chasing my own developing destiny
Halfwits populating my nightmares
Forming emptiness in a thousand ways
The absurdity that elects the idiot king
Vile or inept, what gets adored
Selfishness or hedonism to be happy
Just five minutes to find the strength

I'm not impressed by the halfwits populating my nightmares
Fighting over what to adore, vileness or ineptness

Where do I find the strength
To find my nirvana
I've learnt by heart your curse
Which enlightens the next stage

And every time I climb those stairs
I thank love for never leaving me in despair
Because I know I'll see you soon
And happiness will light the gloom
In your every wonderful gesture
In your sensitive words
