from fig1 - fig4, i usually like to 
play the last two strings open
cause it gives it a more resounding 
nice sound. and i think the
second guitar on the song is also 
doing that, so feel free to hit
the b and high e string open almost 
throughout the song. fig3 and fig4
are optional, you could play fig1 
twice instead of them, but they
follow the bass guitar and sound 
nicer.
