Before you go runnin’ away, don’t forget to pay the plastic man

Remember to happily wave to the grim cavalcades

The cherry trees rain down their petals in the city’s middle of May
And it’s just as well

But I hesitate to take you at your word,

So if you come crawlin’ back, smoking cloves and dressed in black,
