A Warning And A Dream

A child nurtured by stories of fantasy and splendour
Growing up with images of old tales and wonders in his heart
He spent not a single night without a lasting dream
He spent not a single day without walking under the trees

Innocence faded in time, overcome with blinding fear
All fairy tales vanished and with them my youth

Surrounded by lifeless trees with no sun in the sky
I found myself running in a vast field of silence
Impending night approaching above the heavy mist
In a second all turn red, then I wake up filled with dread
