Bad Weather

Why is it I feel alone
When everything's going my way
Why can't I just take control
Of my life, of my own destiny
Why does the weather reflect the mood that I'm in
I look out my window and it's still raining

Storms pass by but mine seem to stay
Coming full force, no time to delay
Tossing my emotions, messing with my brain
Smashing my soul like a hurricane
No place to run, no place to hide
Can't find the sun, blue skies have died

Thunder and lighting
Hail and rain
The sky opens up
I feel nothing but pain
Living a life that seems so meaningless
Angry, sad, confused, depressed

Problems come and problems go
But mine cycle forever like a tornado
Sucking in what's left and spitting it out
Leaving me dazed, leaving me in doubt
Try to find a reason why all my pain
Won't subdue and go down the storm drain

Bad weather holds me in a tight embrace
I try to get away but a snowstorm freezes me in place
Lightning starts a fire, and strikes in my heart
Breaking the pieces remaining apart
Burning the tree that once was my body
Shattering the human who once was me

Hail and rain

Angry, sad, confused, depressed

Bad weather follows me around
No way to escape these dark clouds
No way to stop the rain pounding on my head
Driving me crazy until I am dead
Maybe death is where I want to be
To get away from this world, to get away from me
