Chasm

I mean to focus on my path
But intriguing side trails distract
The darkness beyond seems beautiful
These final thoughts want to take control

These rocks beneath my feet
Slice through flesh and cut my thoughts
The chasm split open growing wide
Eager hands reach up to pull me inside

Before I walk off of the Earth
I need you to see what I may be worth
