A Crack In The World

There’s a crack in the world
And we’re all hanging on
Hanging on, trying not to fall through the void
But sometimes there’s only so much you can do
And it’s hard to have big dreams
But it’s hard to let those dreams die out, too

Remembering when you were a kid
And you thought by now you’d figure out
Figure out most everything
But it’s all as confusing as ever
And every day adds something new
And some of those things are bad enough
Bad enough, they almost crush you

Taking pleasure in simple things in between
Hot tea on a cold fall day
And dressing up for Halloween
