I don't think I hate this city
The way that I used to
Spending too much time away anyway
But I miss my friends a lot
It's a struggle just to keep in touch

When I’ve been gone for half a year

Sometimes it doesn’t feel like I have a home anymore
Just another place I'm stopping by

To the people that I rarely see

As the highway slides by underneath
And the sky stretches out unendingly
And the mountains creep up slowly
And the fields just look so lonely
