Go Gentle

Sand in an hourglass
The hours, they come and they go
So I dig myself deeper
Steeper than the angle of repose

Sloe gin and apricot
In silence, I pace to and fro
In these modern times
I don't get the time
Don't give myself the time

To move through it
Or to go gentle
At my own pace
And know I won't miss a thing
