A Lesson In Loss

I will kill if she is betrayed. She buries her face in her pillow and cries. She sheds the tears you put in her eyes. You ran away. You ran the day you destroyed the words that you stole from her mouth.

She said, "I love you."
Your body went numb from fear so you destroyed her heart. You walked away and left her standing there with empty arms and eyes full of frozen tears from the coldness of your voice. Residuals from shattered wishes fall from your eyes and she thought of how her heart will no longer be made of ivory.
I will carry her away from all of this pain. She shuts her eyes and kisses the day goodnight not knowing that as her body sleeps her soul wanders my dreams.

This is where I can feel her sadness long before I see the tears in her eyes for tonight she sleeps alone.
Now you will never have a light in your skies and no longer will you have the stars in her eyes.
