So what if I'm in love
It's just another dream
Dreams rarely last forever
No matter how real they seem
A valentine-less holiday
Again is spent alone
A requiem to broken hearts
And all those on their own

Though she hasn't yet replied
I hope she answers soon
I'm paranoid and anxious
And my sadness is in bloom
A feeling-less emotion
Trapped in a bursting heart
Little does she know
She is the perfect work of art

Black roses fill the gardens
Of the fields within my dreams
They drink the oily waters
Flowing in never-ending streams
Mirroring pools of tear drops
From the blinking of my eyes
The sounds of children's laughter
Turns into puzzled cries
