It's been at twilight for quite some time now
But you don't need much light to see your outline
I notice things I've not seen before
Your grace, for one, as you slip through the door
I see things are older now
My whole life is over now
Still I stare I'm here though you think me there
A hi, a good-bye, it's nearly enough to make me cry
Idle mind, idle salutations
Only friends have idle conversations

Won't you let me see why it's always me
Why I'll always be doomed to mediocrity

A waiting prayer I make to find out all it takes to be
A man that you could see, should you be in my proximity

An unprovoked, malicious attack, a clear reminder that I can't go back

Lastly, I'm here to guard the station

A decision regretted I can't say where I'd go
