Behold the risen
Long gone yet awakened
As they usurp
From the oceans, trudging onward
Now look beneath you
The pale abyss awaits
The starving, maddened
Life, death, all the same

These blackened waters
Stare back, all revealing
Their past and future
A mass churning with froth and salt

Forgotten kingdoms, forlorn realms
In mere passing
Arise from their grave, a reckoning
Skies are splitting, as is the sea
Ancient horror
Imprisoned in these depths longingly

Banished to a damp tomb
Unbroken hibernation
Unknown depths, past all light
Darkened crypts permeating
Sightless plague, blinding rage
Jealousy, extirpation
Loss for words, beyond form
Possibly impossible

Our birthright deserved
Penalty for their reign

Tainted rivers, poisoned wells
Our consequences
Long awaited justice, tribunal
Tidal waves, crushing sludge
Our kind rising
Our ascension unseen from black floods

Banished thoughts of salvation
Clarity, so sudden, as alive from death
Scars turning into ravines
It's all sealed in ink and blood
