Nightwalk

Another sleepless night
The Moon calls me outside
Invites me to a nightwalk
By the riverside

Then I saw her just standing there
A white spectre, a blank stare
In the highest bridge ledge
Above the troubled waters
Below indifferent skies

Night and day in search for something
Something more than just survive
‘Cause I can’t uncross that bridge
And go back to the other side

I can feel, a storm is coming
It echoes in my mind
Is there peace beyond these waters?
Oh God please give me a sign!

She looked at me with pleading eyes
One last spark of life
Searching for hope or solace
Where she could never find

I just left without looking back
What lies could I have said?
Although I still hear that
That sound of splashing waters
With shivers down my spine
