I am running, away from all the noise
To the forest, to a low and plaintive voice
To the river, like Narcissus I see my reflection

I have chosen to love a lonely man
A Bodhisattva, an ivory tower of intelligence
He wants me but he wants more than I can give

I wanted to love again
I prayed for another chance
The kindness, the kindness within a glance
An angel, alighting in my hands
He gives himself so completely to me
All I have is my defense
It's up to me
(Will I be the enemy of love?)

I am losing, between my life and love
All I hold dear is challenged by a choice
To lay naked, at the altar of another
Or stay the steady plough of work
The stoic solitude
Do I choose to love and lose?
I choose love, yes I do
