The Search

Beyond the darkness of my imagination lay the Angel of Salvation
'Let the procession begin' cried the soothing voice from above
Before my eyes the Angel turned to salt as my heart pumped a furious red river
The thunder was calling her name louder and louder
I rnelted into the past for what seemed an eternity
The wind began to push through my face against my skin and through my hair
I could feel her she was inside of me and for the first time in my life I felt true love
For the first time I felt peace with myself and peace with the world around me!

Into this world I cannot see
Is it you or is it me?
I keep searching to be free
As a thousand footsteps follow me

Painted eyes they rule my mind
Painted lies for all mankind
I'rn gonna run away from you
And I'll keep searching it's all I can do

The end is near and so I fear
I'll never look into your eyes again
Above repute and beyond dispute
Lost forever in a world I've never known

I'm so torn sunset and dawn
I don't really know why I was born
