Slit My Wrist Again

The rain pours in through my window
The wrist of my left caked with blood
I wanted my life to be over
My life sworming around me as a flood
I proved myself a coward
Showed everyone I was afraid
DId the worst deed I could think of
My body, on my bed, I laid

I lost a battle I know I started
Lost a war, I thought I won
Bled my share, Shed the lies
Lied to myself, and slit my wrist again

I tried so hard to fight it
I thought I could do it, but was wrong
Lost my mind, lost my soul
Decided that my life was too long
Turns out doctors can do more than I thought
Decided that I wasn't supposed to go
They brought me back, thought I died
I know I did, I guess I lied

I lost my life due to stress
I thought I could hide in my shadows
Guess you can't decide your fate
I was almost a bit too late
