I sit and stare at the ceiling
I just can't believe what I hear
You talk as if we're passing strangers
You talk as if we're living in fear

I thought we had a reason
I believed that you really cared
We're lost in a ball of confusion
It's drifting through the seeds of my despair

My eyes were blind to these changes
The sentiment stopped me from seeing
I was focused on a person from the past
The solution would be rapidly concealing

And pain was my only restraint
