A Planet's Lament

You can tell me anything 'bout a world about to die
Illusions of solutions that will save will tell you why
No use for you to frighten them, they'll say it's just a lie
If anyone can reclaim control, it's only you and I!

this dying place
we run out of days
environment decays
and agony stays

Looking for the reason why we don't reclaim control
A planet's lament underneath it's fading soul
Wond'ring why they're not strong enough, to regain it all

Mankind at war
Leave none but a scar
No clue by far
Of this cruel and painful descending

What's there to gain
For this world in pain
None will remain
When we banish it's life, it's ending

They said it before
They'll say it again
But nothing's sincere
When it comes to greed and power

It's just a matter of time before they'll see the end is near
The haunting thoughts and signs of truth remain in nothing but fear
Madness will arise from this and reason disappears
The lust for life will fade away, there's nothing left to cheer

Useless self destructive thoughts have lead us to an end
They think this selfish greediness results in a life well spent
You think you will survive this all but you will pay the rent
None of us will overcome this all, this is a planet's lament!
