I'm Not Blind

Looking out the window my day is not the same
Taking time, my hand out to feel the rain
Competing with the thunder, the music and the sound
It's as if I'm under the spell in which I drowned
Hearing my mouth the words come out, the future's in my eyes
How come I fear the things I need to try? I need to try….
People around they let me down
I hold them all at bay
Even though I know I love them anyway
Hard to see things close to me, lose that part with age
I'm out of style with the way I fly
Realizing I'm not blind all the time

Too tight the rope I slide out on is my superstitious mind
Looking up balance restored is me or the divine
Permit my eyes to form the tears that wash away the pain
