Rex quondam
Rexque futures

A sleeping knight, I saw
Dressed in silk and gold
A shield, a sword aside
His hands lying on his chest

It was so long ago
When wars ended his reign
Fought against his own blood
Doomed to lose it all

I've been praying for so long
Shed so many tears
Over this cold stones

Majestic figure
Marked by battles old
