Looking back on the days of dishonesty
On the days when we drifted apart
Our garden was flowered with fantasy
And our house was furnished with dreams

But all the disappointments
All our doubts were hiding for years

I will never build a cage of promises again

An oasis of warmth and security

Lied because truth can be painful
All we had in common
All we had to share was a compromise
