Burning Rage

Illfated
scavengers of suffering
Born with eyes
yet they can't see the truth
burning in spiritual agony
you choose not to see
fragile dreams that break away
and the wounds left inside

Fear
it grows stronger
than a thousand eyes
behold
my pain
a timeless prison cell
thoughts
wage war in my mind
as symbolic words
now fade to gray

Delusory words and thoughts now gone
the perchance to dream never denied
