I FIND IT HELPFUL IN KEEPING THE FLOW DURING THE VERSE SECTIONS TO REALIZE THAT THE DOWN BEAT OF 3 IS MOST TYPICALLY THE OPEN LOW D WHICH CREATES A DEFINITE PULSE.
