Providence

I wander lonely in the rain
It helps to understand the pain I feel
The need in me is like the sea

I don’t remember yesterday
It sometimes better left
That way you see
I’ve closed the door to a life before
These memories are lost to me

And the people that I see
Now mean nothing much to me
And the providence you gave
Is the only thing I’ll save
As I look towards the sea

But the loneliness I’ve known
And the truth that I’ve been shown
Take me where I need to be
