Rock Like War

Rustic Overtones

Life is swallowed up, sitting deep in the belly of winter.
We all walk round and over and over our shoulders,
    Stinging glance of winters face.
The frost hydrates, the rusty shapes of an old crippled ford, thats the car we dont drive no more
the trees just stripped to the bone by the same rain that washes what it named the pulpit grades
its demolition time when it rains.
Powers gone out so we can start a fire
Doin the storms that rocks like the wars, outside.
But then the stop dropin rocks from the mountin side.
Wake me up, in the summer not in the winter
with hail as the nails to nail down the floor boards
I hear the wind roar all the way though December.
The wind does'nt quite, and the snows getting higher, the house is on fire, and im still cold inside.
Powers gone out so we can start a fire.
Doin the storms that rocks like the wars, outside.
We only talk about the weather, stormy day we just complian,
while our side it's looking better, its inside we stand out in the rain,
    stand out in the rain.
You can move like music, it just past fall and it rocks like war.
Stop, dropin rocks from the tops of a million dollars.
I'll just drive home, I just drive home.
