Burning Remains

We built this pale grey place
And buried our dreams underneath
Years weight down on our faces
Erasing our wills and beliefs

Fearing the rules of the dead
We forbid our spirits to fly
And now we lay upon our kids
All of our same mistakes

We shall not kill hope like they did to us
New generations are made to proceed
From the point we left the fear overcome

This brave new breed
Was born to raise chaos again
And spread the winds
Of a storm to calm the burning remains

A prison without any chain
Spitting their dogmas on us
Making our innocent ways
Start looking like greed, hate and lust

This newborn creed
Faces the system with fearless complains
And will rebuild
Our faith from our burning remains
