Banished from heaven an angel cried his tears
In darkest hour, in hour full of fears
Tears have fallen on the ground in night

Why do you cry, an angel exiled?

Why do you cry, poor angel without wings?

Angel fell in despair and saw the lord of lies

Spit on the Light, be with me for ever more!'

Why did you smile, an angel exiled?
What have you feeled when turning from light?
Why do you laugh, a demon without wings?
Feel now so free, with a heart black as night

Alone in her room
A maiden left by lover
She looks at the moon
