Thee, immense origin of being
Matter and spirit, reason and feelings
Thee, who is the wisest and the most beautiful of the angels
Thee, prince of lust and fornications

When the wine in the chalice gleams like a soul shines deep in a pupil
When earth and sea run and exchange words of love
And the invincible wedding spasm run
And gets the mounts and fecundates the plains

Thee, to whom my chants of praise arrives
