Stare at this mass of time
Waiting for something to change
When all you had to do was stand up and face yourself
Comfort will get you nowhere when you know you can’t let go
Looking at where you have gone it takes less
Time to find out what your position would be if you

Hadn’t spent that time alone
If you had gone out and seen the world
Like your father told you to do
You could have known where you would fall
And what kind of person you would have been
No one can get anywhere they haven’t been before

By being stuck
The same frame of mind
Where they’ve lived for the whole time they’ve spent
This planet of Earth
Finding out it’s never worth enough
You can’t stand up
I waste my time
Waiting for an opportunity to swing by your way

Is not a solid plan of action
Safety in mind leaves everything to hide
The world is bigger than your head
Don’t be content
All of your vices
They won’t help defeat them
I guess you should cave in

Scrape off the scabs
And the blood that you got from all of your demons
They hide behind your own eyes
Behind your lies
Comfort gets you nowhere
Comfort gets you nothing more
Build up your drive these mountains to climb

Lead to views that only comes from seeing the other side of the valley
A side that you still can’t feel
Safety and contentment only accomplish goals that
Require no ambition
You were not
