Sorrowful

The dawn has broken
The birds yet woken
But the quilt still covers my back
An empty coffee cup
Calling: Get up!
But the pillow still covers my face
When you left me
A great piece of me died

I hold my breath
Life is waiting outside
Don’t shed more tears
Your darkness - in vain
Let shadows pass
Good memories remain

Sunday’s coming
No dinner’s ready
