True alchemy takes many forms and states
The struggle once engaged with lead
The fates decreed was doomed to fail
As gold could not transcend
From what assumed a greater weight

But alchemy arises all around
An unborn baby’s beating heart
A sound unheard in its particularity
A soul and blood awakening from the ground

In plucking from the air and nothingness
