Procrastination

When it seems like every other day tends to push me away
From desired actions and the things I should say
When the price is too hard to pay, Ill save it for another day

Procrastination can have my standing ovation tomorrow
Not today I'll forget about it anyway
In a few days Ill go to my doctor and say
Can I have some medication for my procrastination?

I just bought a tire for a car that I had totaled in
December was the month that was supposed to be November
I was driving way too late. CRAP, I wasnt going straight
And I really thought the speed limit was higher
And I waited in the car until I realized that it was on FIRE!

Not today Ill forget about it anyway.
In a few weeks Ill go to my doctor and say
Can I have some medication for my procrastination?

I got my drivers license when I was 19
See, youre supposed to get it earlier but
I dont really know what early means and then I
Rented a tux the week after it was due
Tripped on my face cuz I forgot to tie my shoe
When I was running way too late for some other stupid thing I had to do.

I guess I am stuck in this continuum of time
That I am wasting every second that I have of my whole life.
And sometimes I am late cuz I was busy thinking I should be on time.

Not today cuz I didnt finish yesterday
In a few years Ill go to my doctor and hell say:
Im really sorry son but I think your appointment was yesterday
And the last time you were here, we didnt get your co-pay
