I never thought i'd see the day
when you would up and walk away from me. but now
it hits me just like a slap to the face.
i draw a blank, with nothing i can say to make you stay.

i'm trying hard to understand.
if you want me, here i am.
this is just as hard as i thought that it would be.
i thought this would last forever.

as you speak i can see the truth in your eyes.
until now, i never realized that you were untrue.
and to think that all this time i was ashamed,
