When did we all become a "coming of age" storyboard?
Where phone calls are never returned
and birthdays are just about what we save on insurance.
Oh, how we've paid for it.
When did you and I start needing reasons to get together?

I guess I'm that one.
Yet I've always been the one who's "home and hearth"
and now I have paid for it.
