I stand in the silence, the air feels so thin
A blank page before me, a war raging in
Echoes of failure, like thunder they roar
My mind's a storm, restless at its core

The world keeps on fighting, the war never ends
I'm locked in this battle, where darkness descends

The scent of beings, burns through the night
A spark of defiance, in the darkest of light
They fight to survive, and so do I
With this sword in my hand, I will never die

I dream of a story to break from these chains
My voice falters, caught in the pain
Not enough, I hear, 'just throw it away
But my heart beats louder, it refuses to obey

The world marches forward, in endless quest
I'll stand my ground, in the storm I'll rest
