Strike First

Clinging to my life, my bad luck always knows when I'm doing alright
It haunts me at all times
Especially when I'm in this place and every days a fight
A fight between me and myself
I've always wondered what it'd be like if I had an out

I'd burn this whole place to the ground
Light it up, bring it down and level it out
If I could live with what still lies
These ashes are my only vice
I was thinking about how many times I've been let down with all of your lies

Strike first, that's all I know
The only true way to prevent from going under
These cycles, they show the meaning behind the walls that I have built
Inside where no one else can hear
I've alway wonders what it'd be like if the static cleared

And when these walls come crashing down I guess we'll see
Who's ears those crashes fall upon and who comes after me
