Atrocious Calamity

To some people out in the world
Life, they believe is what matters most
Some live it fast and some take it slow
Never coming to think soon you will go
Memories of fallen is all that we have knowing
Soon you will be part of the past
The risks you have taken all for the thrill
The faith of your future can never be sealed
You live your days as if their your last
But others will learn from their past
Always mistaking death for a fool
Before you know it your life is through

Tragic atrocities unfortunately come to pass
The life and future of others all in my hands

Thrown away and left now to rot
The idea of having control is now lost
Bodies that once had life and feeling
Contorted and mangled they now lie

Images of death now surround me
My mind distorted and traumatized
Nightmares, their screams haunting my conscience
With guilt rotting inside
Slowly my mind begining to crack
Leading me to delusional thoughts
Memories from the past have now led me to death
I lay there waiting for my last breath
